About The Trust

The ABC trust was first thought up after receiving the bad news that I was destined to lose my fight against cancer after 4 years of fighting with everything I had. I had to accept that there was no more treatment I could have that would benefit me.

The aim of the trust is to help any young person who is suffering from cancer and who is undergoing prolonged treatment. The intention is to help them pass the time in hospital and maintain contact with the outside world. We would like to help improve the facilities that I used during my battle with treatment, whether it is the day care unit I had chemo on, or the wards where I’d have to stay because of infection or viruses.

Any improvements that can be made, with your assistance, will help those similar to me and improve their standard of life whilst keeping my name alive. We will be working very closely with the Teenage Cancer Trust and following the same aims as them. Our first goal is to assist getting the Teenage Cancer Trust ward up and running in the Leicester Royal Infirmary. In addition to fund raising, the intention of the trust is to raise awareness about the need to donate blood and platelets, which are so important when undergoing any major treatment.
